Jordan DCB Package Project

Objectives: This project facilitates the development of a Jordanian national course on SALW with the aim to help capacity building on PSSM. Additionally, NATO and Jordan co-host an international SALW conference to facilitate regional cooperation in order to contribute to the UN PoA efforts, address SALW control and other relevant topics, including gender mainstreaming.

Activities: Development of a Jordanian national course.
Phase 1: a Mobile Education Training Team (METT) and mentoring is provided to Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) selected trainers for the development of a pilot national course.
Phase 2, a second METT and mentoring has a specific focus on LCM and PSSM in order to enhance the pilot national course and develop a final version of the national course.

NATO and Jordan co-hosted an international SALW conference with the aim to facilitate regional cooperation and address relevant SALW control topics, including gender mainstreaming.

Duration: 24 months.
